WHAT I’M BUILDING

Behind the Scenes

This was my first full week in Limassol, Cyprus - and I'm really enjoying it. The beach, the city life, fresh air, and genuinely great food. The only thing missing? A strong online business community. Compared to places like Bali or Cape Town where I've been before, Limassol doesn't have that same energy of digital entrepreneurs everywhere. But as a base, it's hard to complain.

On the Klime Studio side, we're in discussions for some seriously exciting projects right now. Can't share much - most of our clients are under NDA - but the studio is growing steadily and the work keeps getting better.

The big news: I made a decision on Stage. It's going fully native macOS. The features I want to build - connecting all your tools like Figma, Notion, Codex, Claude into one AI workspace for designers - just aren't possible as a web app. So Stage is becoming a full Mac app. I'm very excited about this direction and hoping to launch it in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

BIG NEWS

Anthropic x SpaceX, Claude Code Just Got Twice as Fast

This is the kind of infrastructure deal that actually changes your daily workflow.

Anthropic announced on May 6 that they've doubled the five-hour rate limits for Claude Code across all paid plans - Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. They also removed the peak hours reduction that used to throttle Pro and Max users during busy times. And API rate limits for Claude Opus got a significant bump too.

How? They signed a deal with SpaceX to use the entire Colossus 1 data center - over 300 megawatts of new capacity and more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs coming online within the month.

My take

Here's the thing - rate limits have been the single biggest pain point for anyone building with Claude Code. You'd be deep in a project, momentum going, and then you hit the wall. "Please wait." That friction killed more workflows than any bug ever did.

Doubling the limits isn't just a nice upgrade. It means you can actually finish complex projects in one session. For designers using Claude Code to build websites, prototypes, or full apps - this is the difference between shipping today and shipping tomorrow. And removing peak hours throttling means you're not penalized for working when everyone else is working.

How to use it

If you're on Claude Pro or Max, the higher limits are already live - no action needed. Open Claude Code and test a longer session. You'll notice you can push significantly further before hitting any rate limit. If you've been holding off on bigger Claude Code projects because of limits, now's the time.

TOOL OF THE WEEK

Maket AI

You've got a room layout in your head but no CAD skills to get it out. Maket AI just made that problem disappear - and they dropped the paywall to do it.

Maket is an AI-powered floor plan creator that just opened its Draw from Scratch feature to all users for free (previously $20/month). You sketch walls to exact dimensions on a blank canvas, drop in furniture, doors, stairs, and windows from a side panel, then switch to the Visualize tab to generate 3D renders in any style. You can guide the style with a typed prompt, a Pinterest screenshot, or any reference image.

TUTORIAL OF THE WEEK

How to Rebuild Your Studio Website in 4 Hours With Claude Code

We just rebuilt the entire Klime Studio website from scratch - and it took 4 hours. Here's the full workflow using Claude Code.

Instagram post

Step 1: Extract your design system from Figma

  • Take your existing brand identity from Figma - logos, colors, typography, spacing rules

  • Upload it into Claude Design to generate a complete design system document

  • Claude creates the full system: spacing scale, shadows, component specs - everything documented

Step 2: Build the full site with Claude Code

  • Claude Design has limited credits, so export your design system and drop it into Claude Code (Opus 4.7)

  • Feed Claude Code your brand guidelines + the design system doc and let it generate the entire website

  • Page by page, section by section - Claude Code handles layout, components, and responsive design

Step 3: Refine, polish, and ship

  • Review the output and tweak any sections that need adjustment - spacing, copy, interactions

  • The result: a hand-crafted looking website built in 4 hours instead of 4 weeks

  • Ship it
