WHAT I’M BUILDING

Behind the Scenes

I'm officially a Cyprus tax resident. Big life move - I've been working toward this for a while now. Cyprus checks all the boxes: great lifestyle, solid financial infrastructure, low taxes, and I don't have to be here full-time which is ideal for how I like to travel.

On the work side, we're doing something bold at Klime Studio - rebuilding the entire website in Claude Code instead of Framer. We've been Framer-first for every client project, but we have ideas that go beyond what a no-code builder can do. Think automations that generate lead magnet pages from a single command. Claude Code makes that possible. The question is whether we can match Framer's animation quality.

I'll let you know the results in the coming weeks.

BIG NEWS

Cursor 3 Just Replaced Your IDE With an Agent Fleet

This is the biggest shift in how designers who code will work since VS Code became the standard.

Cursor launched version 3 on April 2 - a complete ground-up redesign built entirely around managing fleets of AI coding agents. This is no longer a VS Code fork. The new Agents Window lets you run multiple AI agents in parallel across local, cloud, and remote environments. You manage them like a team, not like a single chatbot.

My take

The feature that matters most for designers is Design Mode. Hit Cmd+Shift+D in your browser, and you can annotate and target UI elements directly. Point to a button that's off-brand, tell the agent to fix it, and it implements the change. No digging through component files. No searching for the right CSS class. You point, you describe, it ships.

This turns the browser into a visual editor backed by AI agents. For frontend designers who've been frustrated by the gap between what they see and what they can change in code - this is it.

How to use it

Download Cursor 3 and try Design Mode on an existing project. Open your site in the built-in browser, hit Cmd+Shift+D, and point at something you want changed. Start with small visual fixes - colors, spacing, typography - and work up from there.

TOOL OF THE WEEK

Flora Fauna

Every AI image generator has the same problem - the output looks like everyone else's. Same default style, same generic aesthetic, zero brand DNA.

FLORA launched FAUNA on March 31 - an AI creative agent that works differently. Instead of one-click generation, FAUNA exposes the full creative workflow on a node-based canvas. You see every decision, every model connection, every generation step. It integrates 50+ AI models (Nano Banana 2, Veo 3, FLUX, Kling, Stable Diffusion 3.5) and starts by learning your creative history before generating anything.

Nike, Pentagram, Lionsgate, and Netflix are already using it in production. Pentagram uses FLORA to explore logos, typefaces, and art direction. Nike goes from shoe sketch to 360-degree turntable video to full campaign visualizations in a single project.

🧠 How I'd use it

  • Brand system exploration - Generate hundreds of logo and type variations that stay on-brand, using FLORA's "Techniques" (reusable workflows built by agencies like Pentagram and Base Design)

  • Product photography - Skip the studio shoot. Upload product photos, let FAUNA create lifestyle and campaign shots using your exact brand palette

  • Campaign asset scaling - Design one hero visual, then batch-produce every format and platform variation for a full campaign rollout

Pricing starts at $18/month (Starter), $54/month (Studio), $200/month (Scale) - all with unlimited seats.

TUTORIAL OF THE WEEK

One File That Makes Any AI Tool Understand Your Brand With Google Stitch

Google Stitch has a hidden feature most designers don't know about yet. One file that makes any AI tool instantly understand your brand.

Instagram post

Step 1: Feed Stitch your reference design

  • Open Google Stitch and drop in a design

  • Can be a landing page, logo, anything you've built for a client

  • Stitch needs a reference to work from

Step 2: Generate your Design.md

  • Ask Stitch to generate a design system based on the reference image

  • It pulls your colors, fonts, spacing - everything

  • Head to Design System, click Design MD, and copy the output

Step 3: Use it with any AI tool

  • Without Design.MD: the results are generic, off-brand

  • Paste in your Design.MD and run the same prompt - completely different result

  • Your entire brand system in one portable file

QUICK LINKS - This Week's Radar

  • Noon - AI-native design tool exits stealth with $44M. Works directly on your product code instead of static files.

  • Levelsio's 2026 Vibe Jam - $20K+ prize, Cursor as sponsor. Build a game by vibe coding. Deadline May 1.

  • Claude Code source leaked - 512K-line sourcemap shipped via npm, revealing KAIROS autonomous daemon.

  • Figma MCP server expands to Cursor, Warp, Factory - AI agents write directly to your Figma files.

  • x402 Protocol - Coinbase, Cloudflare, and Stripe team up to let AI agents make payments autonomously.
